Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) For the same treatment, one price for everyone The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDSP) established by the Government of Canada will begin in May 2024 and will be rolled out gradually. Ultimately, more than 2.5 million Quebecers will be able to benefit from it. Maybe you will be one of them? As dentists, we are delighted to know that more people will have access to oral care with an unprecedented financial assistance program. The purpose of this letter is to provide an important clarification on the pricing policy of our dental clinic. No matter who we treat, we are committed to offering everyone the same quality of care, the same professionalism, and at the same price. Our code of ethics requires us to have the same price for the same care, for all our patients. In addition to being ethical, it is fair and equitable for all patients, whether they are privately insured, covered by a public plan like RCSD or have no coverage for dental care. If you are a beneficiary of this new plan, make sure you have your RCSD card and photo identification (health insurance card, driving license, etc.) on hand when you go to your meeting. Although you can now benefit from substantial financial assistance through this program, you will have to pay the difference between the amount that RCSD will reimburse us and our usual rates. At your dentist, everyone pays the same price for the same treatment, not only is it fair, but it is also an ethical obligation. • Dental Surgery and Implantology | Clinique Dentaire Zini

Implants Bone graft Extractions Implants Dental implants The dental implant is used to replace the tooth root of a missing tooth. Made of a biocompatible material (titanium), the dental implant does not represent any health risk. Once inserted into the alveolar bone, an artificial replacement tooth can be attached to the implant. Why resort to implantology? Increased comfort Aesthetic level comparable to a completely natural tooth Better chewing Facilitated dental hygiene In short, the installation of an implant represents an unparalleled solution to replace a missing tooth. The result is truly striking, both in terms of appearance and comfort. Dental implants can greatly improve a person's quality of life due to the fact that: They restore and improve the masticatory function as well as the speech of a person who has lost one or more teeth They can increase a person's confidence, because when applied they do not move, they look like natural teeth and restore normal function to the mouth. They eliminate the pressure on the remaining teeth or on the oral mucosa caused by conventional dentures They can help slow down or stop the resorption of the jaw bone by mimicking the presence of a tooth root. Dental implants can therefore be used to support dental bridges, removable complete dentures as well as partial dentures. Dr Éric Zini has been offering this service for more than 20 years, he has followed extensive and specialized training using the best technologies. A consultation will convince you. Bone graft Bone grafts are used to increase bone volume when it is insufficient for the placement of implants. Dr. Zini will advise you on the need for this intervention. Greffe osseuse Extractions of wisdom teeth Wisdom teeth, also called third molars, can be problematic for some people. Indeed, if the available space is not sufficient or the position of the latter is not optimal, the wisdom teeth do not grow. It is then necessary to extract them, either as a preventive measure or when a problem arises. Each situation is different and a panoramic X-ray is necessary to establish an appropriate treatment choice. Extractions

  • Post-surgery advice | Clinique Dentaire Zini

Post-surgery advice Whether you have had a simple tooth extraction, an impacted tooth removal or a more complex surgical procedure, here are some tips to follow at home that will help you to reduce or even avoid postoperative complications. In addition to this, you need to know more about it. 1- Bite lightly into cotton compresses placed in your mouth, maintaining constant pressure for about 45 minutes. If you find, after removing the compresses, that the bleeding is still profuse, you can put more (or a wet and wrung out tea bag) and bite into them for another 45 minutes, still maintaining constant pressure. Slight bleeding is normal after surgery. Even if your saliva is tinged with blood, don't worry. 2- Avoid rinsing your mouth or spitting. Also, try to keep your head higher than the rest of your body when you lie down. It helps decrease swelling and bleeding. 3- Following surgery, it is normal to feel unwell for 24 to 48 hours. The degree varies from person to person and depending on the type of surgery. To alleviate this discomfort, you must take the prescribed pain relievers, at least on the first day. If you don't feel the need to continue the next day, you can take a less potent pain reliever, but avoid drugs that contain aspirin. If you are prescribed antibiotics, you should take all the tablets to fight the infection. In addition to this, you need to know more about it. 4- Surgery often causes swelling. To prevent or reduce swelling, it is recommended that you apply ice cubes wrapped in a wet towel as soon as possible after surgery: no more than 15 minutes per hour, however, and ONLY during the first few months. 24 hours, and do not let this prevent you from sleeping because sleep is essential for a rapid recovery. 5- It is possible that the movements of the jaw will be more or less painful following surgery. In some cases, this sensitivity can last from 7 to 10 days. In this case, avoid straining your muscles. Adjust your diet accordingly: soft and cold foods the first day and increasingly firm the following days. After 24 hours, if there is no more bleeding, rinse your mouth 5 to 6 times a day with salt water {1/4 tsp. in a glass of water). 6- Brush your teeth normally, being careful not to irritate the healing area. 7- Do not smoke for at least 24 hours to avoid slowing down the healing process and developing an infection. If the pain or bleeding persists beyond 24 hours, we invite you to make an appointment with a general dentist at Clinique Dentaire Zini.

  • Fixed and removable prosthesis | Clinique Dentaire Zini

Crown Veneer Bridge Complete fixed and semi-fixed prosthesis Removable prosthesis Crown There are several reasons why the dentist may recommend a crown for you. A dental crown is considered to cover a dental implant, a broken or excessively filled tooth. It is also recommended following root canal treatment since devitalized teeth become more fragile without the supply of minerals by the blood circulation. Couronne Veneer In composite or porcelain, dental veneers make it possible in particular to improve the alignment of the teeth, the color and even the shape. Porcelain veneers are made in the laboratory and are therefore more durable than composite veneers. Facette Bridge A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It is advantageous when the 2 teeth adjacent to the missing tooth are already mortgaged by fillings. The bridge is also a good replacement option when there is not enough bone for implant placement. Pont Complete fixed and semi-fixed prosthesis This type of full denture replaces the teeth of an arch in a suitable way with increased stability using implants. With his skills in implantology and denturology, Dr Zini will be able to make you a comfortable prosthesis that stays in place. Prothèse complète fixe Removable prosthesis From partial to full dentures, you can count on our dentists to meet your needs. Prothèse amovible
